Bonsai | Golden larch (Pseudolarix amabilis)

Bonsai (Pseudolarix), also known as golden larch or golden ray larch (Pseudolarix amabilis), is a conifer known for its soft, light green needles and beautiful golden-yellow fall colors. The needles grow in groups and are arranged spirally around the twigs. In autumn, they turn yellow and fall, which gives the tree an impressive appearance. The bark of the tree is gray-brown and splits into tiles with age, giving it a characteristic antique appearance.
Pseudolarix amabilis is the only species in the genus Pseudolarix. The tree can reach a height of 30-40 meters in its natural habitats, but when grown as a bonsai, its height is kept significantly lower by regular pruning and shaping
Pseudolarix originates from eastern China, where it grows in mountainous regions. It is listed as an endangered species due to its dwindling natural habitat, so it is even more unique and suitable as a gift.
