Pistachio is the fruit of a plant native to the Middle East, which now grows spontaneously on the Sicilian volcano Mount Etna. They have always been known for their nutritional properties. Pistachios, harvested exclusively in Sicily, are processed by a traditional method and turn into a paste that retains all their valuable characteristics.
