Peperomia is a beautiful evergreen flowering plant with decorative leaves that is native to the tropical regions of Asia and America.
The beauty and grace of the flower are in its leaves. They are of the most diverse shape, color, and pattern, and can be velvety, smooth, slightly wrinkled, or strongly wrinkled.
Almost all species bloom, with flowering beginning in early spring and continuing through late fall. The flowers resemble mouse tails, scattered on a thin straight stem.
Peperomia is easy to grow and does not require special knowledge. The plant is light-loving, but it should never be exposed to direct sunlight. The plant can grow under artificial lighting, but growth slows down.
Most species like moderate to high humidity. In the spring, watering should be moderate, in the summer it should be abundant, and in the winter quite scarce.
Some of the species are very hygrophilous and can easily be used to decorate terrariums.
